  • Confirms reactivity of every test strip.
2. Final test results in 1 hour (Patented design provides separate optimal conditions for urea/urease and ammonia/pH indicator reactions).
  • Final results for all patients before they leave the procedure facility. Eliminates follow up calls or extra office visits.
  • Start treatment immediately.
  • Reduced anxiety and cost for patient.
3. 1, 2 or 3 biopsy specimens from each patient can be run on a single PyloriTek test strip.
  • Some published reports recommend multiple site biopsies to increase probability of recovering H. pylori (Increased sensitivity)
  • Allows analysis of individual results from up to 3 biopsy sites from the stomach.
4. PyloriTek is CLIA waived, indicating PyloriTek is classified with the most simple laboratory tests to perform.
  • Can be performed in any U.S. gastro unit with a CLIA Certificate of Waiver.

  • No incubator needed to speed up the reaction.
6. Average specificity of 97% and sensitivity of 96% in four major studies (565 patients).
  • Excellent correlation to histology at a fraction of the cost with results in 1 hour or less (reprints of studies available on request from Serim).

1. Write patient name and time on the Reagent Strip. Turn the strip over. Crease at perforation and add 4 drops of Hydration Reagent to the Substrate Pad.
2. Place specimen on the Reaction Pad, keeping 1/4" or more from the red Positive Control spot.

3. Fold the Substrate Pad over onto the Reaction Pad and insert strip into the Reaction Chamber with the yellow side out.

4. Within 60 minutes observe the yellow Reaction Pad for the appearance of the intense blue Positive Control spot. Refer below for a visual guide to interpreting the result of the patient specimen.

(As the chart shows, size and shape of the control spot may vary.)
